Stitch & Pitch

Many  cities and towns across the US host a special day at the ball park - Stitch & Pitch.  Some are minor league parks  and some even major league .  What a fun way to spend a day with the family and friends and bring your stitching along.  (Yes, I know - most of us bring it whether it's an 'event' or not, but..)
Here are a few I have found - just in case you're interested.

Major league action - choose your team and  stitch up a win!

Giants - July 18th

The Giants have all kinds of events - Stitch   & watch the Giants take on the  Cleveland Indians

CGOA - Conference in Chicago

Crochet Guild of America

July 26-29th - come and learn, stitch, make new friends, see a fantastic fashion show of amazing crochet designs; meet crochet designers and shop at a special market. 

New England Fiber Arts Retreat

New England Retreat

July 30 - Aug 5th a week of fiber-filled fun in beautiful mid-coast Maine. Whether you knit, crochet, spin, felt, dye, or weave, or if you've always wanted to learn how, this is the place for you! Enjoy the company of fellow fiber enthusiasts while you spin by the fireplace or knit in rocking chairs on the porch of our lodge. Work on a community weaving project throughout the week. Collect natural dyestuffs around camp and dye your own yarn and fiber. Most of all, relax!
