The Solstice Ponchette - an orginal pattern of CoziCrafts. Hoping to get this written out and made in another colorway this year. Originally stitched in worsted weight alpaca yarn, I may work this up in a new natural fiber to add drape. I will make an announcement here when it is available online at Ravelry & Love Crafts.
For the love of thread...
Button Bracelet Kits
e (A friend gave me one of these kits a while ago and I finally decided to give it a go. I didn't care for the thread included with the kit, so I went off the grid and adapted the pattern and changed the thread weight and this it what I came up with. The buttons are plastic and have a raised 'eye' on the back. The eye on these was big enough for me to use a #5 cotton thread and a #3 steel hook. I love how it turned out. ( The QR code will take you to the reel I made for Instagram in Oct 2022 when I made the bracelet.)
Stitching Projects
A fixer-upper project: Update.... The spread and matching valance curtains were completed by the end of 2023
This project is to make this king sized crocheted spread into a double sized spread. Made in size 10 crochet cotton, dismantling the correct number of squares then carefully salvaging edges are done now. Still a few spots to be fixed within the spread. Then, lots of stitch counting in order to add a new border. UPDATE SEPT 2022: The spread is completed. The owner is happy with the finished product and we're looking at using the remnants for a window valance. I'm working on that project and will post pictures as this additional piece progresses. This project took a back seat for a bit, but is back on my lap. I have the 2 valances pieced and have begun working around them. Still a challenge - figuring out the loop or loops on the back to provide space for a curtain rod. Hopefully a few pictures soon.
Summer's Whimsey Lace Scarf
This lacy scarf has some fun elements, shells, multi-yarn over stitches, and solomon's knot. It can easily be stitched in a convenient length for a neck scarf, or head wrap or even a belt. Worked in a #5 thread it's light weight and makes a great summer accessory.
Time to start stitching up little crocheted market bags for spring farmers market trips. These little bags are so versatile. Use them in your larger bags to keep things separated OR from getting smushed! Click the link below to go to the crochet pattern page to download your copy today!
I decided to try this pattern in a worsted weight cotton. It makes a MUCH larger bag - but I wanted to get an idea of just how much larger. Posted below - a picture for size comparison.
